Discoloration in the mid-section of the part is expected. It can not be seen when installed and does not affect performance. The discoloration results from fixture “pinch points” holding the part during the coating process.

LOVE IT. I purchased this for my 365X and it’s so much better than the OEM piece. It is the slightest bit more pronounced than the oem release which makes operating the mag release so much easier and more comfortable, yet it’s such a slight difference that it didn’t interfere with the mag release guard on my kydex holster. Sounds weird it could be such a slight difference and size and feel so much better. But it is. And I love the texture of it too. It’s grippy but the points are not sharp. This was exactly what I was hoping to find for this gun.
I ordered this and the same for my P320 spectre comp, both in gold. I am thoroughly pleased. The extension is not overly pronounced, which, having had it for a few weeks now, is a good thing. It is just enough to make a difference. The fit and finish is perfect and I really like the texture feel on the thumb. Installation is simple and takes way less than 5 minutes.
As a new P365CA owner (at last it is on the stupid roster) I was super excited to finally get my P365. Immediately,l swapped the fcu into an XMacro comp change kit and sig gold parts kit that I bought during the 10 day jail time.
The OEM sig gold mag release is sized for everything BUT the macro. It sat pretty much flush which sucked. I could have just kept the OEM black macro one, but I wanted that gold.
Gray guns says it is not designed for the XMacro, and for all intents and purposes that is true. YMMV, but mine fits nicely in my WC Macro grip, and I have not had any issues in function. It’s pretty much an upgrade for the OEM Macro with better materials, feel, and aesthetics. Highly recommend! If you don’t mind OEM Macro length, this is great! If you have anything other than the macro, don’t hesitate to buy it!
I own more than one P365 and have found that the OEM magazine release is hit or miss, and unfortunately in my case not all of them worked perfectly. This is an outstanding upgrade. It was extremely easy to swap out, literally took under a minute, and extends just enough for functionality but not so much that it snags on anything. They were out of the black ones, but the gold actually looks pretty awesome and had I seen it in person that would have been my first option instead of my fallback plan. I’m glad I got it.
I recently purchased this after sending a competitors release back because I didn’t like how it fit my pistol. Should have bought this one first. Well made with a nice texture and just the right length for an EDC.
