Description
The custom-designed Grayguns Short Reset Trigger (SRT) Kit incorporates a custom safety lever that provides a smooth, short action reset in a drop-in kit.
The kit reduces the trigger reset travel by about 70 percent* when using one of our dual adjustable triggers (Straight or Curved). The system allows for faster reset times and is easy to install, requiring no gunsmithing.
The unique part of this kit is the Bruce Gray designed custom sear. The kit features a sear made from bar-stock steel. Each sear is classically machined, painstakingly cut and inspected. The sear is hand-finished for the best engagement angle and release with the factory hammer.
The part is heat treated and stoned to provide a very smooth surface. We follow up with a baked-in nickel PTFE coating for a smooth release and outstanding durability.
User feedback indicates many shooters find their follow-up shots are quicker and more accurate with the Grayguns SRT installed in their SIG DA/SA pistols. (See our Fit Guide below.)

* The reset amount will vary depending on the starting point of the trigger. The 70 percent reduction is a comparison to the stock, non-SRT factory configurations and measured with one of our dual adjustable triggers installed. We provide 19-pound mainsprings in this kit as they are appropriate for self-defense applications.
The second mainspring is a value-add, as we suggest replacing these springs at about 5,000 rounds.

WARNING, Do not install this on your gun. It will make you hate all of your other guns! I have installed the Enhanced Leverage System with the dual adjustable hybrid trigger, The P series custom strut system with 17# spring, and the short reset trigger kit on my Sig P229 and the differance is absolutly amazing! Gray Guns reccommends for it to be installed by a certified gunsmith but I am pretty handy so I attempted to install myself and had no issues. Now I need to buy it all again for my Sig P220 Scorpion because there is no way I can continue on without it.
I recently completed upgrading my SIG P226 Elite. After recently upgrading the trigger with the ELS kit and the hammer strut and spring, I wanted to complete the upgrade with the classic hammer and SRT kit. Once done it was beyond expectations but one thing of note was the safety lever sits higher than the stock one and now requires the hammer to be decocked in order to remove or replace the slide. I read in other reviews that others could not reassemble after installation but with mine I could disassemble and reassemble as long as I decocked the hammer. Not an issue at all and does not effect function assuming I installed it correctly. HA! Hope this tid bit of info helps anyone! GrayGuns For Life!!!
I installed the SRT kit along with an enhanced leverage system and custom strut system on 2 different Gen 1 German P229’s (1994), one in 9mm and the other in .40/357 Sig. The P-Series pistols are very easy to work on and everything fit/functioned perfectly. Kit makes for a very nice/short reset.
Needed to upgrade the strut and spring on my aging MK25. While I was at it I decided to upgrade all internals with Grayguns bits. I installed the ELS and this SRT kit, and along with the strut it transformed the gun into a much smoother and enjoyable shooter. The SRT kit along with the ELS is a significant change without becoming a hair trigger. Very positive reset with no slop and no weirdness, highly recommend!
Purchased this along with an adjustable trigger for an older Sig classic. Installation was easy; they make the old long trigger and reset cycle into a totally new pistol. Great addition and great service.

I installed this on my P226 Nitron. The reset is much better than it was before installing the upgrade. Very happy with the results. The original safety lever I received did not properly fit in my P226 and didn’t let me reinstall the slide. After contacting Grayguns, they promptly sent me a replacement that fit perfectly. Aside from that the installation was quick and simple.
Unfortunately, in my rush to get this kit installed, I neglected to perform a pre-install measurement of the trigger reset. However, after installation of the kit, the trigger reset measures a miniscule 1.45 mm (as best as can be measured using an electronic caliper). A P-Series dual adjustable trigger was installed at the same time (separate review) and may contribute to this measurement due to slightly reduced overtravel. Great job on this kit Grayguns
Installing the short reset trigger kit in my used P229 was straightforward and relatively simple. The safety lever did not fit quite well enough to reinstall the slide, but a call to Miles at Grayguns got a modified lever sent to me. It dropped right in and the slide slid right on. Reset was long and creepy with the stock parts. With the Grayguns kit reset is short (couple of mm) and crisp. I’m thoroughly satisfied.
I have a P226 Legion which already had the SRT but came with MIM sear and hammer so I ordered this kit and installed the sear and safety. It made an already short reset even shorter and the sear combined with the AC skeleton hammer made for a slightly lighter but much more crisp SA trigger pull. The trigger pull bith DA a d SA is noticeably smoother. I highly recommend this set for any classic P series Sig
