Description
The custom-designed Grayguns Short Reset Trigger (SRT) Kit incorporates a custom safety lever that provides a smooth, short action reset in a drop-in kit.
The kit reduces the trigger reset travel by about 70 percent* when using one of our dual adjustable triggers (Straight or Curved). The system allows for faster reset times and is easy to install, requiring no gunsmithing.
The unique part of this kit is the Bruce Gray designed custom sear. The kit features a sear made from bar-stock steel. Each sear is classically machined, painstakingly cut and inspected. The sear is hand-finished for the best engagement angle and release with the factory hammer.
The part is heat treated and stoned to provide a very smooth surface. We follow up with a baked-in nickel PTFE coating for a smooth release and outstanding durability.
User feedback indicates many shooters find their follow-up shots are quicker and more accurate with the Grayguns SRT installed in their SIG DA/SA pistols. (See our Fit Guide below.)

* The reset amount will vary depending on the starting point of the trigger. The 70 percent reduction is a comparison to the stock, non-SRT factory configurations and measured with one of our dual adjustable triggers installed. We provide 19-pound mainsprings in this kit as they are appropriate for self-defense applications.
The second mainspring is a value-add, as we suggest replacing these springs at about 5,000 rounds.

I purchase this for my sig p229, I must say the workmanship and quality of materials couldn’t be any better. The fit and finish is amazing.
I installed an SRT Kit in a recently acquired **P239 & compared to the factory DA/SA trigger, and for that matter, the factory Sig SRTs on the other P-series pistols, the end result was akin to turning night into day!
**Though not listed in the header, GGs SRT Kit is also compatible with P239s.
NOTE: Trigger bar springs on earlier 239s have slightly longer ‘returns’ (where it rides the bar) that scrapes against the safety lever. This ‘return’ will either need to be slightly altered (shortened) or replaced with a factory Sig TB spring (Part# Spring-38)
Parts are noticeably higher quality fit and finish than my stock 226. Install not too difficult and the reset is dramatically better. Very crisp and in conjunction with the ELR kit the weight is reduced as well. Excellent!
Love the fit and finish on the parts. Not sure if it is hard chrome or electroless nickel or something else but after adding a touch of grease to the hammer/sear and rounding out the edges on the hammer strut so the new hammer springs slides on the strut better. I ended up with a better feeling DA pull and shaved off a little over a lb and then on the single action I went from 4lbs 4.5oz down to 2lb 12oz. and the reset…wow! maybe 3mm long. Fantastic work! Now if I could smooth out the trigger bar to firing pin safety relationship this trigger might be up there with my CZ Shadow.
I install the Grayguns SRT in every Sig Sauer that I own. Just finished installation in a recently purchased P229. It should be installed from the factory. I recommend it and it does make a difference. Makes a good gun better.
