Description
The custom-designed Grayguns Short Reset Trigger (SRT) Kit incorporates a custom safety lever that provides a smooth, short action reset in a drop-in kit.
The kit reduces the trigger reset travel by about 70 percent* when using one of our dual adjustable triggers (Straight or Curved). The system allows for faster reset times and is easy to install, requiring no gunsmithing.
The unique part of this kit is the Bruce Gray designed custom sear. The kit features a sear made from bar-stock steel. Each sear is classically machined, painstakingly cut and inspected. The sear is hand-finished for the best engagement angle and release with the factory hammer.
The part is heat treated and stoned to provide a very smooth surface. We follow up with a baked-in nickel PTFE coating for a smooth release and outstanding durability.
User feedback indicates many shooters find their follow-up shots are quicker and more accurate with the Grayguns SRT installed in their SIG DA/SA pistols. (See our Fit Guide below.)

* The reset amount will vary depending on the starting point of the trigger. The 70 percent reduction is a comparison to the stock, non-SRT factory configurations and measured with one of our dual adjustable triggers installed. We provide 19-pound mainsprings in this kit as they are appropriate for self-defense applications.
The second mainspring is a value-add, as we suggest replacing these springs at about 5,000 rounds.

Huge improvement from factory parts. Finally got around to refreshing 1 of my early 90’s 226s. Also added the enhanced leverage trigger and custom strut. Take up and creep are significantly reduced as well as both DA and SA pull weight. Waiting for all parts to be back in stock to place another order for same parts for build #2.
My 90’s p229 loves the SRT kit. Two things I probably should have known ahead of time, but now I do.
1. Installing the SRT kit means you are using the decocker as the final step to remove your slide.
2. For my 229, the SRT safety lever bar basically captures my trigger bar, so to change a future trigger takes a bit more fiddling.(but really not that bad)
Trigger reset feels great, and the gun has run amazingly with the new sear.
Have these on most of my P series pistols. Well machined and well fiitted parts. These will make your pistol better. Well worth the cost for the benefit added they provide. Easy to install. And 20% off too! Making great pistols even better.
This kit is pretty amazing. Smoother and shorter and still crisp, worth every penny.
I purchased this for a P229 in .40 cal. The installation took 15 minutes with two false starts and fat fingers. The trigger resets a hair before the wall. It’s exactly what I was looking for as a result. It’s no exaggeration, it’s 95% of my best 1911’s trigger reset. Great job Grayguns!
