Description
The SIG P-Series Dual Adjustable Straight Trigger is the straight-faced version of our legendary curved P-Series Dual Adjustable Trigger. This premium aftermarket trigger includes over-travel and pre-travel adjustability. (Adjustable for double-action slack and single-action over-travel.)
The optimized trigger face pressure-wall angle provides outstanding single-action sear release and positive, ultra-fast reset control. The ergonomics provide superior double-action leverage and control.
Dual Adjustable Straight Trigger Details
This steel trigger is carefully heat treated and finished in black oxide, Nickel Teflon PTFE, PVD or Titanium nitride (TiN) Gold. Tight pin hole tolerances assure smooth, solid function. They are guaranteed for life against defects in materials or workmanship.
Included in the package is a hex key for adjusting pre-travel and over-travel.
The trigger weight is about .83 ounces (23.45 grams)

A well-proven standard layer type through its balanced properties. The golden titanium nitride layer, abbreviated TiN, indicates the following properties:
- High hardness and adhesion
- Good chemical resistance
- Good temperature resistance in air
- Relatively low thermal conductivity
- Attractive, golden color
Titanium Carbo-Nitride (TiCN) (Copper)
The TiCN Copper finish features high hardness, low residual stress, good abrasive wear resistance, and high reliability in dry operations.
Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD)
This state-of-the-art process creates a molecular bond to the trigger, resulting in a durable finish. The PVD finish should not rust, discolor or tarnish.
Nickel PTFE
Electroless Nickel PTFE (Teflon®) is an advanced, self-lubricating, composite coating with PTFE particles co-deposited in the electroless nickel layer. Provides a hard, uniform, self-lubricating coating for our premium aftermarket triggers.
Dual Adjustable Straight Trigger Fit Guide
The trigger is designed to fit both current and older model traditional double-action (DA/SA/decocker) P-Series pistols, including
- X5 All-Round
- P220 (see exceptions below)
- P226
- P228
- P229
- P227 and others
The trigger is incompatible with our trigger bars included with the Enhanced Leverage System.
These triggers are approximately 10mm wide. At this time, we are not suggesting this trigger for guns equipped with the DAK trigger system.
This trigger may not be fully compatible with California-compliant or similar P-Series pistol models equipped with a magazine disconnector, and Grayguns urges caution. We do not recommend deactivating any mechanical safety device.
The Grayguns DA/SA triggers will not fit SIG Pro, P225 / P6, P239, West German P220s, or most SAO models. Most of these triggers are a narrower 8mm width.

I prefer a flat trigger and after looking around decided to go with the GG version. The trigger first arrived with the trigger pin hole a little too tight and it wouldn’t allow the trigger to reset. Customer service (Chris) had me send it back to them (postage paid) for adjustment. The turn around was very quick and the trigger functions properly now. I love how the pre travel (which seemed significant on my P229) was eliminated and the trigger feels great. I would love to see an upgraded trigger bar that works with this trigger so you wouldn’t have to buy the whole kit after you already have the adjustable trigger. Overall I am very happy with the experience.

Initially, this drop-in replacement part was an extremely tight fit. So much so I couldn’t install it. After applying a little bit of very fine 220 grit sandpaper to my Trigger Pivot Pin, and the inside of the GGI Adjustable Straight Trigger pivot pin hole, and liberal use of gun oil and elbow grease, I got the new trigger installed in my P226 MK25 (mine was manufactured in 2015 and has the DAK frame).
After a little trial and error, it’s now fully adjusted to my liking, too. Before and after photo attached.
Thus far all I’ve done is a lot of snap-cap dry-firing. I much prefer this new GGI 2-Way AST to my original OEM stock factory curved (“hooked”) trigger, as well as to my SS P226 Short Reach curved (“hooked”) trigger. The new trigger is more comfortable, provides me with a cleaner, surer trigger break right at 90 degrees, and a shorter overall DA trigger pull. The reset is really nice and short, too – I have the SRT upgraded trigger kit, previously installed.
It’s high time to head out to the range and shoot some steel.

Installed on my p226 mk25 and I’m sooo impressed. The trigger feel and performance is a vast improvement over the factory curved trigger. The dual adjustment eliminates any over travel. It was very easy to install.

So I put the adjustable flat trigger in an older SIG P229 chambered in .40 S&W. It had never been the favorite pistol, but its size and power made it useful for mountain treks, and it was good comfort during one encounter with a couple of mountain lions. Now I have a new fondness for the P229. For a relatively minor part swap, it makes the pistol much easier to shoot accurately and consistently. There is just something about a flat trigger that makes it more intuitive to shoot well, at least for this shooter. I very much recommend it; though I am starting to wonder if these upgrades are habit-forming. Excellent product.

I ordered the straight trigger, it is very well made. Shipping was fast. The price is not terrible either for such a quality part. After installing I was actually shocked at the difference between the straight trigger and the stock curved. It’s impressive. It really helped my Sig P229 in 357 sig. along with the GrayGuns Sig P series Custom Strut System. It’s like a whole new pistol, very smooth no stacking. At this point I’ve only dry fired with snap caps. I will have to qualify with it in the very near future and will update my review after running it through a qualification course.
I will be adding these same parts to my Sig P220 soon.

I just purchased a new Sig P-229 Legion. The trigger action is great. However, I do not like curved triggers. I purchased this straight trigger from Grayguns. Grayguns shipped the trigger immediately, and I received it in a couple days. The workmanship on the trigger is outstanding. The trigger was easy to install, and fit perfect. The two adjustments on the trigger sure make a difference in the performance of the gun.
I was impressed with the quality of the trigger. I was also impressed with how fast Grayguns shipped the trigger. Outstanding job Grayguns.

I installed it in my Sig P226 Legion. It is definitely easier to shoot now. I had to leave out one of the screws because it turned my double action into a single action only. The colors are limited (I wanted red). I later found a competitor’s trigger that I liked better for half the price, but I do like this one a lot and I am not changing it.

I purchased this trigger to replace the curved one that came in my P229 Legion. The stock trigger was already great, but this made it nearly perfect. If you are on the fence about if it is worth doing, or just someone who prefers flat faced triggers, just do it, you will not be disappointed!

I am a recent DA/SA convert from Striker fired pistols like the P365 & P320, both of which had flat Triggers. I just couldn’t get used to the curved trigger on the P229 Legion RXP.
Since I was going to have the pistol apart anyway, I coupled it with Armory Craft Trigger Pull Reduction Kit springs. Together, the trigger is absolutely perfect.
If you’re on the fence, I really think you’ll be happy if you decide to order it.

I purchased the flat faced trigger for my P226, Delivery was quick and the installation went pretty smooth, one of the videos I watched helped and I was able to get the trigger set with very little over travel and not much pre travel.. The double action trigger pull is still heavy and I wouldn’t mind getting some reduction there. At my first outing at the range the trigger was pleasant and improved my double action shots with the first shot. Follow up shots were easy and the trigger was crisp. The SRT is very pronounced and unmistakable. The single action trigger pull is light, but not too light. For the price of a couple mags I improved the feel and performance of my P226, well worth the money!

have this flat face trigger on my MK25 which is already having Sig OEM SRT kit, easily adjusted the pre travel of DA pull, and the over travel of both SA/DA pull, make them short and all functions work as designed. Once the SA cocked and pre pressed against the wall, the flat face is just vertically aligned like most of flat triggers on my other pistols, felt comfortable to squeeze and break the pull. It also makes the pistol aesthetically pleasing. I love it. I wish GrayGuns keeps going to innovate other aspects of Sig P226 actions

Happy to finally get my hands on a flat face from here. I’ve been trying for some time and am very pleased with how well it works in my 226. Love the dual adjustable option that is completely hidden making for a very nice looking trigger. All of my guns have flat faces and I’m glad I’m able to keep that consistently across my sigs as well. Only thing I wish was they were in stock a little more often so I could get one for my 229 as well. Highly recommend!

I purchased an older 229 DA/SA for IDPA and was enjoying shooting it, but had shot a friend’s SRT and wanted the upgrade. I also purchase the flat trigger as I have that on my 320 and really enjoy it. Install was straightforward, probably should have bought the Grayguns video, but stumble through it and the SA SRT is amazing now.
The flat trigger is great but I really wish they sent the SRT kit out with a regular power spring and a reduced spring so I could try both. The DA is still heavy and the original rounded SIG trigger probably is an easier pull, but once you are in SA it’s amazing. One thing on adjustment was that to get the over travel perfect on the SA I have to have a little with the DA. When the over travel was taken all the way out on DA the SA wouldn’t release hammer. Barely noticeable, but that’s the only issue I saw. No wiggle when doing SA dryfire.
Also upgraded the old SIG sights with Dawson sights, can’t wait for next IDPA match.

I ordered this dual straight trigger. i installed it and didnt like it. i wanted to send it back to swap it for curved trigger but they wanted me to pay restocking fee because it had to be refinished. i said there was nothing wrong with it but they said they will lower the restocking fee if nothing is wrong with it. i was willing to pay shipping fees but not restocking fee. i will resell the trigger and i went with a curved trigger from armory craft. straight triggers arent comfortable for me.

Installed one of these triggers along with the SRT kit two years ago and to me make my P220 as good as the Sigs Legion model. I wish I could find one for my Springfield XDE it’s a nice little gun but the trigger sucks. The pre travel and reset aren’t all that good

This trigger is simple to install and easy to adjust. Range time will tell how the adjustments stay set but they seem solid, especially pretravel. My used LE P229 with short reset feels like it’s a brand new gun. It makes me want to buy more products in the future.

This is the 2nd trigger I have purchased from GG, the 1st being the P320 competition trigger kit (which is incredible). I love straight triggers but if thats not your thing there is also a curved version for you traditionalists. The P226 is an incredible pistol but the stock trigger leave much to be desired. The GG adjustable trigger changes all that. Easy to install, gets rid of all that nasty pre-travel, and with the straight trigger percieved pull weight is much better. Pair this with and SRT and a lighter mainspring and you have a trigger system to be envied! Great product and fast shipping as always.

This is a great trigger. I always seem to shoot better with a flat trigger and this is no exception. It’s easy to install as well. If I have to say anything negative it’s that there seems to be a little bit of a side to side wobble to it.

If you can remove and install the trigger bar, you can install this trigger.
For me, there was a dearth of online information about how to adjust the DA pre-travel but the SA over travel was covered such that I set that when I installed the trigger.
I then went back and adjusted the DA pre-travel to only have about 1/8″ of movement with 100% DA reset function.
For my big hands, I have more room for my trigger finger in the trigger guard after installing the P22xST.
I installed the trigger in a P220R with a SIG SRT and will order another one for my P226R along with a GG SRT when they become available.
I have a GG P-series spring set on order and methinks that will allow the P220R to create a state of gun range Zen for its humble owner.
