Our HK P30 and P2000 Short Reset System replicates our custom in-house short reset conversion with a drop-in kit for your pistol. These kits are cut from bar stock steel and provide an exacting fit for easy installation.

The kit shortens the reset travel distance by about one-third, reduces trigger over-travel, and reduces pull weight while maintaining all factory safety functions.

This kit is specific to the HK P2000 and P30 models without a thumb safety, including DA/SA, LEM, or CDA LEM 4.1 trigger variations. Review our Fit Guide below.

Two variations are available. One for DA/SA and LEM triggers and one for those who have installed the HK 4.1 trigger system. Ensure you select the correct option.

Description

In a convenient, easy-to-install kit, the HK P30 and P2000 Short Reset System replicates the short reset conversion for HK pistols in our custom action work.

The control latch is precisely wire cut EDM from ground bar stock to exacting tolerances. It is correctly heat treated and coated in a durable nickel PTFE finish for a lifetime of durability and smooth function.

Engineered to provide several benefits:

  • Shortens trigger reset travel distance by approximately 33 percent
  • Converts the action to drive the sear directly off the control latch – instead of transferring energy through the catch – for a direct drive connection between the control latch and sear
  • Reduced trigger over travel values
  • Maintains all factory safety functions
  • The kit works with DA/SA and LEM variants or the HK 4.1 trigger system. (Ensure you select the correct option.)
  • Included Grayguns Firing Pin Block Spring reduces stacking in DA pull and lightens trigger pull

    Big difference on the reset. I consider myself a novice. I followed Gray Guns instructional video and it was fairly easy. Be careful with the firing pin spring. I dropped it and it took a long time to find. Also, I was having trouble getting the mag disconnect to seat properly. Turns out the hammer axel popped out a little. If you have this happen just push it back in and you’re good.

    Part quality is as good as advertised. I’ve worked in high precision machining and can attest the quality of this part. Also due to my machine shop experience i found the install to be quite simple. Went to the range the morning after installing this short reset kit (along with the straight trigger). It literally felt like a new gun! I fell even more in love with my Hk p30 v1 LEM thanks to the Grayguns parts.

    Had an RSO at my local range do a function test. He unloaded the 10rd mag as fast as he could and the gun did NOT MISS A BEAT! He carries a p320 and genuinely said this was the best hk p30 he has ever shot! Nothing malfunctioned. This kit is legit and in my opinion A MUST HAVE for your HK p30! Since Christmas eve I’ve put about 1000 rounds through it and still not one malfunction. Grayguns FTW!!!

    The Short Reset System (along with the flat trigger) transformed my P30L V4.1 into one of the most enjoyable pistols to shoot I have ever owned. It’s just good!
    And listen, If you have a hard time with the mechanics of changing the 9v in your smoke alarm, you should probably leave this install to a professional. They don’t need instructions, it’s what they do.

    I recently installed the Straight Trigger and Short Reset on my P2000 V3. The installation was pretty easy following the instructional videos. My first impression was mixed, as I wasn’t 100% sure I liked the feel and position of the trigger at rest. I also couldn’t gauge the benefit of the short reset option doing dry-fire testing. After taking to the range for the first live-fire testing, all I can say is WOW! The new trigger and the short reset are a huge improvement on the pistol. It also didn’t take any time to adjust to the new trigger position over the original curved trigger. In addition to logging my accuracy with the upgrades, I also analyzed using MantisX. Both showed tighter groups and less movement through and after trigger pulls. Overall, I am very satisfied and excited to get back to the range for more practice!

    Install was simple, took all of 20 mintues (mainly because I sproinged a spring). Trigger reset is considerably nicer, now just to convert to LEM.
