Description
Designed by Keith Hosey, Grayguns’ director of gunsmithing, the HK P2000 Straight Trigger is a first-of-its-kind in the market. This trigger fits all P2000 variants. The trigger reduces over-travel while featuring a 90-degree optimal trigger break.
This P2000 aftermarket straight trigger design allows for lower finger placement and may provide the feel of reduced pull weight. However, the trigger design does not reduce pull weight.
Made in the United States to high-quality standards, it guarantees the fit and finish Grayguns is known for. It is precision machined from tool steel and heat-treated adequately for optimal wear resistance. It is hand-inspected and finished to ensure a quality trigger we can stand behind for life.
HK P2000 Straight Trigger Fit Guide
This trigger fits all variations (LEM, DA/SA, and SAO) of the HK P2000 line – and only the HK P2000 line – of pistols. Including:
- P2000
- P2000SK
Fully compatible with the Grayguns HK P30, P2000 Short Reset System.

Nickel PTFE
Electroless Nickel PTFE (Teflon®) is an advanced, self-lubricating composite coating with PTFE particles co-deposited in the electroless nickel layer. The Nickel PTFE finish provides a hard, uniform, self-lubricating coating for our premium aftermarket triggers.
Titanium Nitride (TiN)
A well-proven standard layer type through its balanced properties. The golden titanium nitride layer provides the following properties:
- High hardness and adhesion
- Good chemical resistance
- Good temperature resistance in air
- Relatively low thermal conductivity
- Attractive, golden color
Titanium Carbo-Nitride (TiCN) (Copper)
The TiCN Copper finish features high hardness, low residual stress, good abrasive wear resistance, and high reliability in dry operations.
Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD)
This state-of-the-art process creates a molecular bond to the trigger, resulting in a durable finish. As a result, the PVD finish should not rust, discolor or tarnish. Availability varies, but options include Flat Dark Earth, and Blue.
HK Straight Trigger Design & Photos
The Grayguns HK Straight Triggers for the HK45, P30, P2000, and HK USP are different, but somewhat indistinguishable at first glance. For this reason, the photos shown represent the finish and color only. The current production of the triggers includes laser markings indicating which pistol model the trigger fits. Early versions include a batch number. If you’re unsure of the trigger you have in your hand, please contact us.

I purchased an HK P2000 V3 in green and took it to the range with a friend who is an LEO of 30 years. He liked the stock HK better than his CCW. I was showing the DA/SA around 9 lb 6.6 oz/5 lb 5.9 oz stock. After the GG Flat TiCN was installed I measured SA at 3 lb 3.3 oz. I was using a Wheeler Prof. Digital Gauge. YMMV but I think these guys deserve 5 Stars! The Customer Service is above and beyond as well. They went out of their way to make sure I had the answers I needed!
I saw all the great reviews on this trigger and felt it would be a great addition to my HK P2000 V3 and I loved it up until the trigger itself broke during a USPSA match during a classifier stage. Be weary as I shot less than 10,000 rounds through it. I’m not sure if this was a bad trigger but it definitely broke on me when I needed it to perform.

This is actually my second straight trigger that I have purchased from GG, my first was for a USP 45. This one was installed on my P2000sk and the feel of the straight trigger was so much better than the really curved stock trigger. The fit, finish and quality of the trigger is phenomenal. So thanks again GrayGuns.
The stock trigger on the P2000 just kinda bugs me, this scratched that itch.
Installed on both my HK pistols – one black, the other nickel (my buddy calls it ‘das bling’).
Feels WAY better than the curved trigger. Breaks RIGHT at 90 degrees. Add the SRT and it literally transforms the gun. I put this in my p2000 and p2000sk and they went from “meh” to “YEAH”.
Caveat: installation is NOT easy. Conceptually simple. Execution is a PITA even with the aftermarket forceps. Also if you have real short fingers, it sits farther forward than the curved trigger so maybe not great
