Shipping Firearms

How do I ship my firearm to Grayguns Inc.?
Under federal law, any lawful gun owner may ship a firearm to Grayguns Inc. – or any other FFL holder – via common carrier like UPS for purposes of repair or modification and receive it back directly. You do not need to ship your pistol through a dealer unless your local or state laws require it.

Your securely packaged pistol should be taken directly to a UPS service center for shipment. Affiliated shipping agents such as mailbox stores and copy centers are not permitted to accept firearms. You are required by law to notify the counter person of the contents of your package.

Be sure to insure your package for full replacement value. UPS requires handguns to be shipped via next day air. Selecting a slower service will save some money but may result in a denial of your insurance claim in the event of loss.

Unless you have a FFL do not ship handguns to Grayguns Inc. through the US Post Office.

Our shipping address is…

Do you have any other suggestions about shipping firearms?
Yes, we do.

  1. Check with your friendly local FFL dealer to see if they will ship your firearm to us by US Postal Mail. This may save you money as compared to shipping UPS next day air.
  2. If you do ship via UPS next day air, we would appreciate it if you included a UPS pre-paid return labels with your firearm and work order.

What about FedEx?
The service provided by FedEx to our Spray, Oregon facility is very slow. FedEx “overnight” packages routinely take three to four days to arrive.
