To celebrate the model’s legacy, SIG Sauer® has released the P226 40th Anniversary Edition. SIG Sauer aimed to release a P226 model that was faithful to the original design and used modern tooling and manufacturing.
This anniversary edition of the P226 is compatible with all of the premium Grayguns upgrade components.
Description
Honoring its humble and historic beginnings, the collectible 40th Anniversary P226 is now available. The pistol resembles the original full-size handgun developed by SIG Sauer in 1984.
Complete with original style packaging, user manual, and limited-edition History of the P226 booklet, the 40th anniversary P226 pays homage to the MK25. The pistol was adopted by the Navy SEALs and DEVGRU in 1989. The P226 continued its legacy as it was used in FBI training courses and adopted by countless law enforcement and international military agencies.
Forty years, dozens of models—including the P226 LEGION—and hundreds of Hollywood movie features later, the P226 remains one of the most iconic SIG Sauer pistols in the company’s rich 250-plus-year history.
The 40th anniversary P226 has all the same features as the original. It is an alloy-framed, double-stack magazine with a 15+1 capacity (9mm), DA/SA trigger system, and a 4.4-inch barrel.
