P320 Extended Magazine Release Fit Guide
The extended magazine release fits the following grip modules
- SIG Sauer’s P320 Standard, X-Series, and TXG modules
- Grayguns’ Laser Sculpted X-Series, Laser Checkered X-Series, and TXG modules
- Wilson Combat Grip Modules sold by Grayguns
We have not tested our extended magazine releases in third-party grip modules other than those sold by Grayguns. We can not tell if or how they will fit in other grip modules, especially the aluminum modules on the market. In short, due to variations in design, they may not fit third-party grip modules.
Important Notes*
- This magazine release will not fit the AXG modules as the AXG grip has a different design
- It will not work with grip modules for .45 caliber P320s
Installation requires OEM Magazine Catch Stop and Magazine Catch Spring.
Discoloration in the mid-section of the part is expected. However, it can not be seen when installed and does not affect performance. The discoloration results from fixture “pinch points” holding the part during the coating process.

Great product! Better than oem. Perfect size for me
Fixed my issue where OEM release was too short to hit without shifting my grip. Was a bit sharp on my thumb, but with a small bit of filing, I took the hard edge off. If I had any suggestions, I’d say taking the edges off the sides of this release would be an excellent improvement. As for me, it works just fine, and is an excellent upgrade for my P320.
Expertly crafted, fits precisely and functions flawlessly- great upgrade for my CARRY PRO.
I ordered this and the same for my P365 spectre comp, both in gold. I am thoroughly pleased. The extension is not overly pronounced, which, having had it for a few weeks now, is a good thing. It is just enough to make a difference. The fit and finish is perfect and I really like the texture feel on the thumb. Installation is simple and takes way less than 5 minutes.
I wish they put some more thought into it. The back slopes down nicely but sides are at a sharp 90 degrees. After doing 20ish mag changes I could already feel a blister coming on. To fix it I took a file and rounded off the corner. In the picture you can see on the top of the mag release (right side in the picture) where I filed it. On the bottom is the original angle. You can see how with the original angle if you press it at any angle other than perfectly on the sloped back it will dig into your thumb. Wasn’t difficult to file it down but for a small piece of metal that costs $50 you’d think they would round the edges off.
I ordered one because I couldn’t reach the magazine release without changing my grip. This solved the issue. Shot in a USPSA match and was completely satisfied.
This extended magazine release is very tactile, not an overly aggressive pattern, and easy to manipulate while doing reloads. Definitely would purchase again for other P320 builds.
Made well , texture is great , definitely an upgrade you want for an easier mag change. Whether a casual shooter or looking for a quicker mag change , this is a great mod , just get it , You won`t be sorry ! Too bad they are not available for Lefty`s , what`s up with that ???
Chris, our P320 Extended Magazine Release is reversable. You can swap it to the normal position for a left-handed shooter! The description does state it is reversible. If you are having an issue, please contact our customer service team during regular business hours.
The release was easy to install, make sure you have a sturdy pin as it makes getting the retaining clip out easier. Greatly increased the ease of dropping the mags. I would have happily paid extra tho for a new spring n clip option.
The extended mag release is good. Met most of my expectations. One of the main reasons as to why I decided to buy the product was the texturing. It looked more aggressive than what comes stock from SIG. The serrations on the mag release are not as aggressive as what I thought. I personally prefer it to be a little more grippier. Aside from that, all other expectations were met. I wish more pictures were available online so you can get a real good visual on the product that you’re buying. For those who are more attention to detail like me, here’s more of the description of the product. The face of the mag release is not a flat top. It curves around towards the front of the mag release. Gives you more of a textured surface area than what you would get on your stock mag release. Starting from the rear of the mag release, going forward… There is a curve that slightly goes outwards, before it goes back inwards. I would attach a picture for reference, but my file size is too large and don’t know how to get around that.
Thank you for reminding us about the additional photos we need to get added to this product’s page. We’ve made a note and will get them done soon.
I have short fingers and always had to brake my grip to release the magazine on my P-320’s. This is an excellent add-on to the gun.. I no longer have to brake my grip… easy to reach and made my reloads a lot faster.
