Description
Designed by Keith Hosey, Grayguns’ director of gunsmithing, the HK P30 Straight Trigger is a first-of-its-kind in the market. Fits all P30 variants. The trigger reduces over-travel while featuring a 90-degree optimal trigger break.
This P30 aftermarket straight trigger design does allow for lower finger placement and may provide the feel of reduced pull weight. The trigger design does not reduce pull weight.
Made in the United States to high-quality standards, guaranteeing the fit and finish Grayguns is known for. Precision machined from tool steel and heat-treated adequately for optimal wear resistance. Hand inspected and finished to assure a quality trigger we can stand behind for life.

I had the Nickel PFTE trigger installed on my P30SK. I like flat triggers. I like full metal triggers. I did not think to put the stock trigger on a gauge before replacing it with this Gray Guns trigger, but I would swear that it lightened the trigger pull by a pound or so.
I do know that it smoothed out the action…a massive improvement for me and my fingers!

The trigger is a great addition to the P30L that I have. I changed out the trigger and the short reset and what a difference it made. I wish I would have changed them out a long time ago.
The trigger install went good, but getting the spring back in was difficult. I ended up taking an old pair of pliers, used a diamond Dremel bit and rounded off the grip like the pliers that can be purchased. Once I did that, the spring went right into place.

I Love H&k. Among my collection, I have a Mark 23. It has a Metal-Curved-Serrated trigger. I have always loved the feel of that trigger. “This flat trigger has a very familiar feel that makes me think of the Mark 23 only straight. Which is fine and I like it. However, I would like to see grayguns make a curved trigger variation for those that still like the traditional style.

The installation of the flat face trigger to my P30L made a world of difference…..for the better. I would prefer if the right and left edges of the trigger were just a bit softer (rounded). Just my personal preference. I’m still giving this product 5 stars. I would buy this product again without hesitation.

I installed the short trigger reset system in my DA/SA P30L and was very pleased with the results. The stock trigger worked fine with the upgrade so I debated a short time as to whether or not to add the flat trigger. After installing the flat trigger I realized there should have been no debate at all. Now I can’t imagine shooting my P30L without the Gray Guns trigger system. It works exactly as advertised and I could not be happier with the improved performance of the pistol.

I was hesitant for quite a while specifically because I have small hands and flat triggers on a DA/SA no less seemed like it would be too far of a reach. However, something about the geometry made me feel that it would still be very much doable. It was.
The biggest takeaway is the trigger dropping the hammer at a much forward position and not all the way back up against the frame. This, in addition to the 90 degree wall position makes for a very predictable trigger. I did not perceive any reduced weight as some others have stated. I could see how some would. The trigger when installed is solid. No side to side play and zero wiggle, it feels much more substantial. This would be excellent in a 4.1 LEM as well. I carry cocked and locked and its perfect. I practice in DA regularly and it too is confidence inspiring.

Have not fired my P30 SK 9mm v3 yet but dry fires well and feels great. The biggest hastle on indstall was the return spring and finding a tool that would work. Had an old pair of mini needle nose vice grips:; had to grind them down to more needle point and grind a slight groove in the mouth of the jaws to hold the spring, then was smooth as butter.
I did find where u-tube has gone completely PC and pretty much removed videos on any work on pistol stuff. Snowflakes are among us.

I am never one to “enhance” carry weapons, but this time I decided to take the plunge. HK weapons from the factory are amazing. The only thing I was never a fan of was the polymer trigger. It flexed, and trigger break always felt vague and underwhelming. After installing this trigger (and the short reset) my P30SKS is “next level” and HK should make this system the standard going forward. Excellent quality and timely shipping.

Absolutely fantastic upgrades from Gray Guns, on my HK P30SK V3. Installed the Gray Guns Flat Trigger, & the Awesome Gray Guns Short Trigger Reset Kit. Together this is absolutely a must have on this EDC Weapon. Definitely highly recommend, I had my professional experienced gunsmith complete this installation of both GG HK P30SK V3 parts. Zero issues, flawless performance! I am a HUGE HK Fan. I own (7) HK weapons, including a P2000, which also has the GG Short Trigger Reset Kit! Totally worth every penny! Fabulous Customer Service.

This trigger, in conjunction with the SRS and FPBS, really MAKE the gun. If your intent is to actually shoot this gun, these parts are an absolute must. I can’t think of any other way to say it.
I advise getting that special trigger return spring tool as well as perusing Youtube for installation advice. GG was great with after purchase support in this area.
After installing the above parts I did have a slight problem with the trigger resetting. Lots of oil and about 500 rds of dryfring cleaned it up nicely.
Highly recommended.

I was a little worried that I wouldn’t like it but can say now it was completely worth the price. The pictures of the trigger in DA mode kind of turned me off. The straight trigger leaning so far forward just looked out of place and seemed like it might pose an issue when taking the first shot in DA mode. Needless to say I ordered it along with the short reset system and at first only installed the SRS kit one it’s own. That on it’s own was spectacular but I waited about a week to do the trigger. The main reason being the angle of the trigger in DA mode that I first mentioned. The other being the swap requires some patience getting the trigger return spring back into position. After watching a couple videos and reviewing the complete field strip guide on HKPro I modified a set of needle nose pliers to hold the return spring while doing the job and decided to give it a go and I couldn’t be happier. The reset actually seems better with the GrayGuns trigger. It sits at a perfect 90 degree angle when resting on the reset wall.
Oh my Lord do I love this gun now. With the SRS and trigger this is a different gun but at the same time maintains all the reliability everyone loves with the HK. The trigger breaks like glass when you pull it. Not quite as spectacular as a well tuned 1911 but far better than most standard issue ones.

I never liked the tapered trigger on my P30L. I ordered this with a short reset trigger kit and the combination greatly improved the reset and feel of the trigger. The only issue I had was the re installation of the trigger return spring,

Trigger was installed into a P30SK. Installation was complicated only by re-installation of the trigger return spring. The short leg of the spring was difficult to keep in position while pushing the spring into place since I don’t have the HK spring pliers and didn’t want to grind one of my own. A length of thin tubing that often comes with spray cans, such as brake cleaner or lubricants, was slipped over the short leg which allowed the leg to remain in position while pushing the spring into place greatly simplifying the job. This trigger is exactly what I wanted for SA mode. The only minor issue is in DA mode. The tip of the trigger is somewhat thin and due to the forward position in DA, the tip tends to initially pinch the trigger finger slightly. In SA the trigger is vertical and there are no issues. Over travel seems to have been reduced but this was not measured. Due to the different leverage point for the trigger finger the pull weight also has been reduced. This trigger was installed at the same time as the Grayguns reduced reset kit and the measured pulls can be seen in my review of that kit.
