Description

Our custom Grayguns P226 magazine base pads are manufactured from 6061 Aluminum, professionally finished with MIL-A-8625 Type III anodized coating. They have a flat-black finish after going through a glass-beading process.

You can use these base pads with either the  OEM 9mm SIG (V1) or 9mm Mec-Gar 18-round (V2) magazines.

A relief cut on the sides enhances malfunction drills and allows effective one-handed reloads using the belt or holster.

Each pad features a numbering matrix and area to scribe your name.

P226 Magazine Base Pad Fit Guide

Two versions are available. Read carefully.

  • Base Pad for 9mm OEM SIG 15-round¹ P226 Magazines
  • Base Pad for 9mm Mec-Gar 18-round P226 Magazines with round pegs²

¹ These will not fit the OEM 15-round magazines manufactured by Mec-Gar. Those magazines are marked “Mec-Gar Made in Italy.”

² Does not fit Mec-Gar magazines with the rectangle-shaped base plate peg.

Do you have a magwell on your P226? Our magazine base pads are designed for the standard P226 without a magwell.

There are aftermarket magwell options available for the P226. We cannot inform you if our base pads work with your magwell.

Nice but isn't for all P226's

I have a 2009 MK25 with 3 OEM 15 rnd magazines stamped ‘made in the USA’ and with US patent numbers.
The base pads fits well on the magazine body but the hole is too small for the catch by a large margin.
The aluminum material allows for a clean and easy fix by incrementally drilling the hole to a final diameter of 13/64″ bu that is probably more work than some people will tolerate.
These may fit a newer P226 Legion (as pictured above) but not a legacy MK25. My p229 Legion magazine catch hole appears to be the same size as my MK25 but we’re talking apples and oranges now.
I’d give them 5 stars because they are mighty pretty on the gun but 3 stars for the extra work.
