Mason Lane wins IPSC World Championship, two USPSA national titles in breakout season

REEDSPORT, Ore. (Nov. 4, 2025) -  Grayguns, Inc., a leader in precision firearm performance, congratulates Mason Lane on an exceptional 2025. Lane secured the IPSC World Championship Production Division title in South Africa, competing against 1,500 shooters from 76 countries, and also won both the USPSA Race Gun Nationals (Limited Division) and USPSA Production Nationals in the United States.

IPSC Worlds was also a landmark event for Lane’s wife and training partner, Kaylee Lane, who helped lead Team USA to a Gold Medal in the Production Optics Lady Division.

The IPSC World Shoot represents the pinnacle of action shooting competition, and Lane’s victory places him among an elite group of world champions.

“It’s very hard to put into words,” said Lane. “Winning an IPSC World Shoot puts me in a hyper-elite club of champions I’ve always admired. This victory is a thank-you to everyone who believed in me—especially my wife, family, and sponsors."

Lane’s South Africa victory capped off 18 months of intensive daily training and international competition.

“A year before the World Shoot, I promised myself I’d prepare fully, no matter the outcome. That commitment was only possible with support from friends, family, sponsors, and the Grayguns team.”

Precision, Preparation, and Purpose

Mason competes with a SIG Sauer P320 equipped with a Grayguns competition trigger system. The setup features a custom slide and barrel tuned for balance, peak accuracy and reliability.

Lane said, “Getting stronger didn’t make me faster, but it built the habit of doing hard things and staying focused. That mindset carried me through every match.”

A Winning Mindset

Known for his aggressive yet strategic approach, Lane attributes his success to a philosophy that balances preparation and risk.

“I accept luck and choose to push myself. History favors the bold. I’d rather make small mistakes while pushing my limits than play it safe.”

Support and Gratitude

Lane credits his wife, Kay, as his “rock” and greatest training partner, as well as his late father and family for instilling discipline and purpose early in life.

“My dad has passed, but I hope these wins show the value of his effort in shaping me,” said Lane.

He also expressed appreciation for his sponsors—especially Grayguns, whose support includes advanced competition trigger systems, and SIG Sauer—crediting their backing for making full-time training possible.

Looking Ahead

Even after achieving the sport’s highest honor, Lane remains focused on the future.

“I’m still motivated and have plenty to prove, especially in U.S. optics divisions, where my next goal is to lead my team to a national title. I want to help others—if younger shooters have questions, I’m happy to share what I’ve learned. Diligent work over time brought me here.”
